A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

Clear answers.
Simple answers.

Does Low Risk mean a link is safe?

Not necessarily. Automated checks can miss threats or flag legitimate links. The score is a summary of warning signs, not a probability or guarantee. Always check the sender and destination.

Where does the camera preview appear?

On your phone, the live preview appears inside the checker after you allow camera access. Scanning stops when a code is read, when you tap Stop camera, or when you leave the page.

What happens to the URL I check?

It is sent to Linklight and external security services for a report. Avoid private documents, password reset links and URLs containing access tokens. Linklight stores request counts rather than submitted URLs. Hosting providers may retain standard request metadata.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Paste a link or scan a QR code on the website. The Chrome extension is an optional shortcut for your computer.

What can the checks miss?

Linklight retrieves existing reports. It does not submit new scans, inspect every page or independently follow redirect destinations. Old or missing clean reports show Unknown.

A LITTLE PAUSE CAN GO A LONG WAY.
